Charlotte Posthuma has been a lawyer since 2012, joining Van Iersel Luchtman Advocaten in 2019. She is a member of the Environmental Law and Sanctions & Penalties divisions.

Acting for major companies in major cases
Charlotte supports companies and managers when they are involved in accidents at work and in matters of environmental criminal law and compliance. She also assists directors and individuals who are suspected of bribery, fraud, and forgery. Charlotte once represented a large storage & transhipment company in Rotterdam in a criminal case and assisted a Finnish telecoms provider in a major international bribery scandal. She also acted on behalf of the CFO of a European transport company in a major investigation by the Dutch Fiscal Information and Investigation Service, in a case of so-called mega-fraud. Charlotte started her career as a lawyer at Ploum in Rotterdam, later moving to NautaDutilh in Amsterdam where she worked in the Fraud and White Collar Crime division. Charlotte is a member of the Women’s White Collar Defense Association.
